In Celebration of My Daughter Julia’s Life

Today, we come together not just in sorrow but to celebrate Julia’s life—a life though much too brief, was so bright and full.
21 years old, life is meant to be much, much more…
Losing Julia through a tragic accident has been the most difficult experience our family endured. we’ve come to understand the fragility of human heart, pains that stretch our biological limit…. Yet, amid that sorrow, we also come to realize just how lucky we have all been to have such a special girl living with us day in and day out for a full 21-year.
Julia was born an unadulterated, pure free spirit, brilliant with a bundle of energy unlike anything we had experienced before, as if she were about to burst at any given moment, to explode and shed sparks everywhere. She was so talented and energetic, approaching everything with such enthusiasm. We knew right away she was a gift, meant to be someone extraordinary.
As Julia got a little older, we could sense such a strong desire in her to share with the world that unbelievable, natural born brilliance and talent. There were so many ways she wanted to express. She painted. We were awed by the many brilliant pieces she created. Later, she tried writing. She must have written millions of words in various fictions with interesting and sometimes out-of-the-box plots. She once entered an online creative writing competition and won an award. She tried dancing. Her dancing was straight out of a K-Pop stage, as talented and beautiful as the best performers. And in piano Julia found her enduring love. Against all odds, Julia achieved level 10 certification during high school. She could express herself in free improvisation. When she played Tchaikovsky’s October, the audience would be taken to a faraway souful place. her piano teacher…
